According to police reports, Gaur's company raised investments from various small businesses and investors in India and abroad. The company obtained raw materials from small businesses in the Delhi-NCR region and issued cheques as payment. It eventually declared bankruptcy and shut down. Five complaints have been filed against Gaur. In 2011, he founded an online shopping company in Gurgaon with a friend who served as the COO. The company specialized in retailing garments and accessories online.
